Splash of Light

This is probably the 4th time I have worked with this basic composition and it is the second time on this canvas. It started out as an acrylic and got heavy even then. I sanded it down (with a power tool) and have now reworked it in oil.

Sedona Sunrise

This was a quick plein air painting at one of those spots you see as you are driving around and then have to find the closest place you can paint from that is not in the middle of the road. Sedona is one of those places that really wants to be portrayed a bit panoramic.

This girl started out as a garden sculpture, in fact a graceful Buddah type, but then she changed...a late night Pygmalion effect ...and charmed me at a certain point into leaving her alone in her moment of contemplation.
